BCAA (brain chained amino acids)

What do you guys think about BCAA’s?

Who is using it here? and how much? and when?

A LOT. some people recommend taking 4 capsules anywhere from 3~5 times a day. it also depends on if it’s a training day or not. i was introduced to it by t-nation (biotest) and tried it for a while, but didn’t really feel the effects. i wouldn’t necessarily recommend it, but it’s supposed to be pretty effective if you take enough. check out t-nation.com for more details on it

many t-nation supps just have a fancy label and are marked up alot. try something like this which is what I have used and recommended to some of our team members with positive effects http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/sf/bcaa.html. as usual powder will be significantly cheaper than caps.

oh and about its effects. it works. seems to be good at delaying fatigue if taken before/during workouts. it can be expensive though compared to most supplements if you are taking 10-20g before/during workouts.

Were you guys using taking anything else before/during the workout such as glucose/protein? Or was it just BCAAs?
