Avoiding overtraining

Whenever I start getting ready to do some semblance of a program I seem to be overpsyching myself and then when I train I train hard. Then I don’t see the results i’d hope and from what I’ve gathered I experience what is called “Overtraining” or something like that. It’s a form of depression that you can experience when you try hard at something and then when it comes time to see the results they’re no where in site.

Are there times when you guys experience this?

How do you get passed this?

Besides not psyching myself up, how else would someone avoid this form of depression?

Find a program that works for you, and stick with it. PATIENCE. Constantly switching programs expecting immediate results usually leads to bad things.
