Athens 2004 - 100m Statistics by age

As you know ( or don´t )
I like very much statistics, so, i´ve just finished my statistics work about the age of 100m sprinters last Olympics in Athens.
So, it´s an Excel file 351kb size which have all the information about the results and ages.
I´m gonna put here a resume with the highlights.

So,
about the 84 100m sprinters that raced Round 1 heats 1 to 10;
14.3% of them was 28y/o
13.1% was 21y/o and 24y/o
7.1% was 27y/o
6% was 20, 25 and 30 y/o
when we took by group;
range from
1st group ( 26,27,28 yo ) 26.2%
2nd group ( 23,24,25 ) 25%
3rd group ( 20,21,22 ) 23,8%
4th group ( 29,30,31 ) 13,1%
5th group ( 17,18,19 ) 7,1% then
group ages from ( 32 to 37 ) 4,8%

the interest about this is that,
on the semi-finals and final the almost 50% of athletes are aged between 26 and 28 yo.

I have graphics too and other interest informations, for those who want see in more details.
My next job will be over the 200m sprinters.

C ya !!

Cool, nice job – after the 200, do the triple and long jumps! LOL.

where is the excel file!?

Hey
I was the oldest guy. Still mad about my time, but I was coming back from an inj. Even 100% healthy i was looking at a 10.6
aloha

fascinating, are you going to post the excel file?

Tks everyone.
I´m not sure if members can post .xls files here, maybe someone could help us to do that.
Otherwise, i can send this by e-mail, so…

–Kelsey,
