The ZMA helps sleep, so every night but add the glutamine on high intensity/heavy training days.
Would the glutamine interfere with the absorption of the ZMA? I thought that ZMA should be taken by itself on an empty stomach.
We’ve never had a problem. Mainly, you need to stay away from calcium. We use Glutamine powder.
she force’s it down my throat hahah
but on a serious note, the product im taking has:
L-Arginine, L-Lysine, L-Ornithine, L-Glycine, L-Glutamine, Colostrum
they recommended that i take before bed for this reason:
“Designed specifically to enhance the HGH pulse which occurs during sleep to recharge the body to full, capacity potential.”
but i have just been taking it before training as whats commonly recommended on this site.
i take bcaa after workout but was also told you may get some added benifit to take it before bed
BCAAs, Glutamine, ZMA are all things you can take before bedtime (all 3 should raise Test. and HGH levels).
The question remains which is the best - I guess there is no 100% answer to that.
But I’d say that arginine is really a pre-workout supplement, mainly because it changes your nitric oxide balance and should increase blood flow.
that’s what i thought but ive now been told from 2 sources that there are benifits from taking it before bed!!!
also would anyone know if colostrum interferes with zma???
so do you guys just take the bcaa’s after training?
would you be doing something like this.
arginine pre workout
bcaa post workout
zma/glutamin before bed
???
Exactly, add glutamine 30 min before breakfast - that’s what I take.
(But I dropped zma recently - sorry, poeple here love it, but I don’t feel any effect, maybe because I take zink with mineral tabs during/after workout…)
You may not feel the effects of ZMA if your diet is in order, plus you are taking the additional zinc-mag tabs.
