All Blacks Support Team
Rugby is New Zealand’s national passion, with involvement by thousands of New Zealanders at all levels. The New Zealand Rugby Union is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions:
• All Blacks Analyst
• All Blacks Manual Therapist
• All Blacks Strength and Conditioning Coach
A passion for rugby, a reputation for excellence, and a competitive edge are essential for these roles. Applicants for these positions must have the ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally with the team. All Blacks support personnel must maintain a current passport and be eligible to travel overseas and back to New Zealand (including maintaining eligibility to obtain any necessary visas).
All Blacks Analyst
Reporting to the All Blacks Coach, the appointee will assist to ensure the All Blacks are the best prepared team, having all possible analysis and information. Proven relevant experience in rugby analysis software packages and information technology support is required, as is a detailed understanding of the game of rugby and its laws. Prior experience working with elite athletes or sports teams is ideal.
All Blacks Manual Therapist
The Manual Therapist will ensure the All Blacks are the best prepared team by providing manual therapy services which will include but is not limited to manipulation and soft tissue treatment. They will also work with the All Blacks Doctor, Physiotherapist and the Strength and Conditioning Coach to ensure there is a co-ordinated and planned approach to the medical services provided, and the fitness preparation of All Blacks players.
All Blacks Strength & Conditioning Coach
The successful candidate will ensure the All Blacks are a winning team by monitoring and conditioning players in contention for and selected for the All Blacks, under the direction of the All Blacks Head Coach and High Performance Sports Science Manager. The appointee will be responsible for the creation and implementation of individual strength and conditioning programmes, rehab/prehab patterns, recovery strategies, and assist in the gathering of appropriate bio-feedback to ensure the players present themselves to training and games in the best possible condition.
