Agility tests are just that tests the results from the tests should be meassured vs the others who who tested at the same time. There are to many variables such as where the test is being held ie: gym floor, grass track play a huge role in the scores as well so does footwear what if one guy wears track spikes and the other guy doesn’t.
Agility ladders are an inefficient way to improve agaility, they are a great way to improve corodination and footspeed.
evryone’s defenition of agility is right the ability to change direction quickly this means stoppiong and starting. As well as the whole stimulus aspect visual, auditory plays a bigger role than we all think.
My opinion is that doing cognitive agility development is the best way to increase over all playing agaility. this will not necessarily corelate to a better t-test time but it will improve the athletes agaility on the playig field.
Yeah, if the combine tests were all that mattered, then I would be a top-10 pick. I’ve mastered them all. If that were all it took!!
I think so. If you can for basketball than you can for football. You know the basketball crossover was derived originally off the football field.
Obviously some players naturally just tend to have that lean and have a feel for the right moves and hesitation at the right time, but I’d say it’d be more worthwhile working on that then the agility ladder or something.
