a combination of creatine, glutamine and protein

My teammate told me that the best thing you can take is the combination of creatine, protein and glutamine to enhance your performance. This includes eating a lot of fruits and vegetables, lean meats (fish, chicken), doing the workout of course, getting sufficient amount of sleep, not eating crap food, etc. What would be your response to this statement? Thanks.

But Im not too sure about the first. Creatine doesnt do anything for me personally but does work for some. Protein is essential but specifically glutamine Im not too convinced

Glutamine will not work unless the training is of mega intensity and or volumeā€¦most will training programs will make athletes non-responders.

how about glutamine having cell volumizing effects? is there any truth in this?
