60m advice on sprint technique (video)

hello guys,

this is my first post here and I would like to get some advice on my sprint technique.
some things I have noticed for myself and my coach:

  • I seem to be too low out of the blocks and in the push phase
  • My hips are fairly low during the whole race ( at practice, when running against someone my height, i’m noticeably smaller than him, though faster )
  • During the last 20m of the race, I felt like i was running slower and i felt like i would almost fall forward
  • My knees are not high enough
  • My coach told me once i got upright my speed seemed to “decrease”

any input would be greatly appreciated!

if i was you i would leave everything alone. arm action looks very very good

Your lines ar the start will improve as you get stronger/power
The other thing i would look at is leg and hip flexibility

Agree with the above. Don’t mess with things. Stay relaxed, continue to improve your strength/power and hip mobility, and things tend to take care of themselves.

thanks for your advices. i’ll definately take care of my tight hips and leg flexibility

I know more experienced fellows have said not to change anything, but it kind of looks like you’re reaching for the line and collapsing forwards. I used to do that and it caused me to have a braking effect with each step. my times improved greatly when I thought of arching my back at top speed. the end of my race was especially improved…
