dumb question how can i decrease a file to post???

What kind of file, and how large is the file?
If it is a video file then the easiest way may be to use windows media encorder which you can download online. You then would convert the file. I like to use mpeg4 format for high speed running (since it should be good quality with no info missing) which is approx 2073kbs. It usually decreases my digital video files from 60mb to 4mb.
