ATHENS, Dec 18 (AFP) - An Albanian working in thejournalists’ village was the 12th man to be killed onOlympic building sites since 2001, a trade unionofficial said Thursday.
Ten of them, including Doka Dalip, 51, who diedTuesday, were immigrants.
In October, work on the Olympic athletes’ villageground to a halt when 600 workers went on a 24-hourstrike to protest safety conditions.
In the last three years, 154 accidents have beenreported on 31 Olympic worksites.
