From this September 17, 2012 article, it appears he was 13 years old this time last year… which would explain his looking older… I think he even looks older than 14 though… early developer maybe? Wish him the best!

If you look at the video he is listed as age 13, not 12, and from the article, his birthday is probably quite soon.
