ZMA and multivitamins

u dont.
he suggested to move OUT of the dorm in an apartment (if possible) so u can buy ur own food and cook it. (so much cheaper, youll save a ton of money!!)

this is what ill do but my school forces us to buy a meal plan for the first 2 years

sure if you trying to put on mass for no other reason than to look good lol. i believe it also messes with your biochemstry efecting sleep paterns .it was reccomended to me by someone i trust in this field and since ive done it ive had lower bodyfat more lean muscle mass more strength, power etc.

as for cooking you can get a little hot plate a skillet cook in that way. you can get hot plates real cheap at wal mart or some kida store like that. as for the eating reccomendations … i train to be a athelte not a bodybuilder. funny enough eating like this i have gained more weight than i ever did when i was younger t hinking more muscle mass = a better athelte. the idea of nitrogen balance and all is important but mostly in a bodybuilding since (my opinon). for me its all about hormonol control. but lol you can try this little trick… you ready… eat a big ass meal for dinner lol. remember your body is going “dormant”.

good advise. but if i were you i would lie cheat steal to get out of staying in a dorm. there all always ways around shit like that. universities are push overs. just say youve got some kinda condtion where you need an apartment or something. also this is some of the best advise i can give you, get in good with some type of school administartion. a counseler a registrar agent something liek that. after you see him/her once bring him/her some cookies or a cake or some shit thanking them for all their help in your previous encounter. it will pay off when you need to … bend the rules a little in the future lol. you can say goodbye to waiting in lines to register, having to wrry about getting classes, etc, etc.

Berardi and some others have always recommended to me to eat before bedtime…however I’m not the most slight of build…I’m like 6’ 190 @ ~5% bodyfat (more bodybuilder than athletic build kinda like you said). I’d like to be a little lighter.

Damn I never know who to listen to. Maximum information clash as usual.

u say your about 5% bodyfat ? lol i dont kno how much more u wanna lose my man. thats pretty damn good. but lets look at what you said. someone told you to eat before bed to lose body fat? is that right? basic biology would tell you that those ingested calories would not be burned but stored as lipids (fat). yea this will help you gain weight but i awalys believed that as athletes you train for you r event and your body will take on the proportions most adventageous for that event. i think a lot of people mess up their body for atheltics by engaging in hypotrophic training. but let me know what you mean because i may have misunderstood the question.

Well the Berardi argument to this would be that if you don’t eat anything 8 hours before bed, your metabolism will slow down. So you might as well keep eating every few hours to “keep the fire burning” and still be ingesting proteins.

Regarding my weight, I always seem to do better (jumping/sprinting)at a lower bodyweight in general.

Before bed, you can use the ZMA and Glutamine powder. Works well and would seem to offer the best of both worlds, fuelling the muscles while allowing GH to spike during the night. Eating last around 3 hrs before bed gives you 11 to 12 hrs fasting but the glutamine breaks that up.Generally, I think James is right and the body will tend to adjust to the demands of the event.
