Tempo with ball?

lol sorry I am bad at spelling. I had meant anaerobic conditioning which you explained in this response. Sounds like a good plan.

I will let “anaerobic” conditioning to head coach and small-sided games (skill-based conditioning games). I will deal with strength, medball, plyos and tempo. If the temperature permits we will do speed work too.

Do you really think that having the ones running 16 seconds Tempo reps,and the others 20 secs is going to impact the two any differently?

  1. Speed is the same among two groups (70%), thus second or two difference depending on the distance
  2. Middlefielders have to walk greater distance and come to starting postition at the same time as other players
  3. Middlefielders cover greater distance 10-20% in tempo run ---- this is important, because they cover greater distance at submax speed in a play compared to other players (sprint distance is same, about 300m)
