i can’t help but to say it, but people need to do their research on various company’s before they decide to donate. Scrambling to text a few bucks just because a celebrity says so is not a good idea. They don’t get the money right away anyway because they need to wait until you pay your bill.
People seem to be completely unaware that charity organizations have a history of misappropriating the funds to support inflated salary’s. It has to do with a loophole where as long as the charity gives 10 cents on every dollar to the cause of the mission they are perfectly legal.
Bottom line: The public is just completely unaware that many charity organizations usually build their fortune out of sorrow and tragedy. It’s called “the gray area”. And i do have some actual experience in this industry because i worked for a “questionable” organization in los angeles.
