It seems like the block spikes don’t stick well into the mondo surface vs. normal track surfaces which are a little more rugged vs. the smoother mondo surface, is this true?
Not true. Unless the track is worn where the blocks go.
Thanks, I never had problems with my blocks slipping on other track surfaces. I’m trying to look at the positives and learn from my mistake.
That’s the blocks, not the track, unless the start area has been ripped up. Chances are the spikes in the blocks are too short or the blocks are warped causing one end or the other to lift up. Often the block get warped when athletes step on them in the middle rather than on the ends.
Makes sense, when the race was over the first thing I thought about was Derek athlete in the taper DVD and the similarity between the two cases.
change the spikes to 15mm needles.
