In fairness to the others, I think he’s more aptly described as an anomaly amidst worlds class talent; although some of the other sub 9.9 and 9.8 potential men were not in that heat, or in Daegu for that matter.
The reality is that 99% of 100m sprinters will never experience running as fast as he jogged in that heat. As you noted, he literally performs a fast-easy and finishes the latter portion at what looks like an extensive tempo effort.
Incredible start, particularly considering his lever lengths. It would be interesting to know his reaction time and splits in that race.
