Knee Inflammation

Charlie, yes the ARP is a plug in but it does have the ability to be run by a battery. I’ve never used the battery so I have no idea how long it lasts.

Regarding hz and comfort level aside, is there any benefit to a faster EMS contraction? The reason I ask is, one of the benefits of the ARP is that the waveform is comparitively comfortable vs. galvanic and/or interferential (from what I’ve been told) thus theoretically an individual can tolerate higher frequencies with the ARP. I know from a rehabilitation perspective, the greater the voltage and the greater the frequency tolerated the better the results. Obviously this is irrelevent for muscle loosening and recovery. Sometime very soon I’d like to sign up for an internship with you and I’ll bring an ARP with me so you can play with it a little bit.

Yes, like you I use the fish oil and I also use the glucosamine hcl with msm(I’ve used Schiff with good results but surprisingly the Spring Valley brand at Wal-mart is the one I like best-cheap too). Are your quads and hips fairly flexible? If not, the stress goes right into the joint itself-at least in my case.

Yes, I beleive that the comfort of the wave form is the key to allowing the current to “spill over” from the contracted fibre to further uncontracted fibre to get the strongest contraction possible. Of course, pad placement is also a major factor as well.
If you would like to arrange and internship, please contact Angela@CharlieFrancis.com for details. I would be very interested in working with the ARP to see what it can do vs other types of EMS. Soon, I’ll have someone coming over with the Omega Wave System which can show the effects of EMS on an athlete’s systems. It would be interesting to get you here at the same time if possible.

I would love that, I’ll be in contact with Angela and if you can keep me apprised of the Omega Wave situation we can try to coordinate dates. My wife is a physician so scheduling around her “call schedule” requires a little bit of lead time.

Ok, send an E-mail to ange and I’ll give you the details and also I’ll attempt to coordinate the visits. I know they are interested in the ARP and have worked with Compex and possibly other equipment. Hopefully, we can get a compex to compare

As always with EMS, Compex and OW - I think there would be quite a lot of interest and misunderstanding with regard this topic … perhaps there might be the possibility of a group internship?

I was doing a search regarding knee inflammation, and since this thread also talks about ARP, (which I’m a big fan of), I’d love it to keep going and find out any conclusions that took place in that internship, if it ever took place.

X Bob: contact Jay or Denis for the better use of ARP and specific protocol for your problem.
Sometime “play” with ARP is a waste of time, during the years many peoples have played with therastim (therastim was the first name of the arp) without relevant results.

X Stefanie: sorry, but I’ve seen your email few days ago…
Are you well?

X Charlie: intership will be interesting…but you know our “no time” situation…

I only managed to fracture my knee cap last week…

But I’m doing well.
