Walter Dix must be very disappointed. He had a very bad race and looks much too heavy.

My partner knows dix. I know his coach. I saw both of them in tampa in May. Dix ran 10.1 or 10.0 something and 20. low I cant remember the exact times. But he looks heavier now than he did then. THis is dix’s best season in years. I know jumping aroung from coach to coach didnt help. THe coach he has now rey robinson was his coach out of college, back when he was running fast. He shouldve stayed with him. I know he left and went to or was sent by nike to jon smith. Dix opened up that year with a 9.8, then had some injuries and left John to train alone, then train with random coaches and now finally came back to rey.
Dix looked like a smooth round dough boy yesterday. I know RB34 likes to see fat boys who run fast, but Dix needs to drop about 15-20. I bet if he was lighter he wouldve been in the finals as a contender.
Speaking of fat boys who run fast, Mike Rodgers is, I think, 5’7"/172. He’ll be on the relay for sure. Dix seems to not be able to train like he used to without getting injured, like Sanya the last couple of years.

Thought I’d mention it because I see numbers for Rodgers in the 168-172 range, which I think makes him about the same size as you and I guess 5 or 6 years younger. So I guess you’ll have to settle for 9.85 or so.
