So you know, ironically the Silver Surfer got the tar knocked out of him and was left for dead on an asteroid in Silver Surfer #3 (Heaven) September '87 by none other than THE RUNNER!

Whatever generation you grew up watching cartoons is the generation you are going to think has the best cartoons.
And just for the record since this is a sprint site Hulk’s semi-retarded slow butt wouldn’t have the speed or agility to even think about keeping up with Goku’s son Gohan let alone trying to dodge any of Goku’s attacks.
:shoot::shoot::shoot::shoot::shoot::shoot:
Hulk was the most powerfull ever. He would hold the standing long jump record. (3 miles!!!)
Anybody who can jump like that would do well in a sprint. Remnember, the t.v. series version was not the same as the comic version. I loved the t.v. series but they made him in to a frankenstien believing “big” is “slow”.
The Hulk’s punching speed is up to “MACH 3”!
How’s that for speed!!!:karate::shoot:How’s that for speed!!!The hulk’s punching speed is up to “MACH 3”!
In Marvel comics the end of the earth was just the hulk and cockroaches. the hulk outsurvived all other super heroes and he would crush Goku in his left hand!

Ok, Ok you guys got a point! I still say the animation quality sucks. DBZ needs characters with all these special powers to make up for poor quality…and to keep people interested.
I’ve seen cartoons that was made in the 1960’s/70’s with better quality than DBZ.
Btw, a pink guy in baggy pants (majin buu) is not a real villain! I’ve seen scarier villains in a space ghost cartoon.
Only in the Adult Swim version (Space Ghost - Coast to Coast) when they used Bett Middler. Which, i think every one will aggree with me, when trying to induce fear factor would be considered cheating.
I am not going to argue who is the strongest, but the stories of Transformers and GI Joe was more creative. Remember the Serpentor DNA series? No gimics just good writing. I of course did like Tom and Jerry…so violent!

P.s the hulk is immortal and Goku is mortal"
Goose,
3 MEASELY miles???Is that it. HELLO, when you can FLY jumping 3 miles is nothing!!! Besides, Goku was jumping over 3 miles as a boy (see “Dragon Ball” episodes) I will allow you some wiggle room with the old television series didnt; do the comice jusitce because that has been the case MANY times. WOW Mach 3!!! Goku would have time to grab a bite to eat, chill with Gohan and still dodge that punch right before he blasted Hulk’s big ass into bits with a Kamehameha wave.
PS: Goku is Immortal. He was granted permission to keep his body after he sacrificed himself nobaly to save the planet earth. And in case you forgot if it did get down to a war of attrition Saiyan’s grow more powerful after every battle and stronger at the mere thought of battle.

You can’t possibly think there were no gimmicks in GI Joe, Transformers, or THundercats??? Granted, these were all excellent cartoons and classics and are high up in the cartoon food chain. But let’s not forget, what other cartoon besides Dragon Ball ( and consequently DBZ, DBGT) follows a boy from birth through fatherhood, and hell to his children having children and ALL of them being heroes.
Good poitn about the DNA in GI Joe though. BUt let’s not forget there is definitely science in DBZ World’s Strongest saga where an evil Doctor is tryign to steal the body of the world’s greatest fighter.o:o We also have the Android Saga/Cell Saga where the DNA of the greatest fighters int he UNiverse are collected to make one ultimate fighter “Cell” (who would) flick his lead hand and incinerate Serpentor:devil:

That’s pretty big talk coming from a PINK mute, kitty cat playing a sax. Why all this hatred for the GREATEST action cartoon of all time? [/quote]
Major difference The Pink Panther is NOT a villain; while Majin Buu is supposed to be…
For reasons why I don’t like DBZ, see my first post!

Goku is a 150lb, “I Dream of Jeannie” outfit wearing joker
First of all he isn’t 150lb joker. Second, I thought we already realized that lighter and stronger is the most efficient. Hell, if Goku wanted to do the big clunky thing all he woudl have to do is see a damn full moon and he would turn into his gigantic ape state. BUT, he realized that was obsolete because lighter, stronger, quicker is without a doubt more effective.

Good point Clemson!
Really good cartoons have some semblence of reality in it…
A little joker like Goku being able to destroy planets don’t qualify…

Are you jealous because Goku can blow up planets???:):):):)
As for some semblence of reality…
Gi Joe: A ridiculously large paramilitary group that battles an equally ridiculously large world domination group in these random battles where no one ever actually dies. Mind you, these battles take place in random locations where NO citizens are ever around. PLEASE, you must be kidding.
Transformers: Sentient Alien Robots. Now there’s reality for you.
THEY ARE CARTOONS THEY AREN’T SUPPOSED TO BE REAL:shoot::shoot::shoot::shoot::shoot:

With all those powers…why does he always have a hard time kicking Majin Buu ass episode after episode?
Ya would think with all those powers he could finish the universe in one episode…
Btw, he could use a decent haircut…
HE could have beat Buu in his fat ass form but he wanted to give Gohan, Gotenks, and Trunks a shot at savign the world for once to prepare them for their role as world protectors. It’s called preparing the youth for the future and giving them a chance to stand on their own two feet. Qualities we should all admire:clap:
As for destroying him by destroyign the universe…HELLO, he’s a good guy, therefore destroyign the universe and innocent lives is NOT a viable option to solve the problem.
BTW, if there wa no struggle to beat Buu there woudl be no excitement in watching. We woudl also lose a lot of the character development that takes place as well as Vegeta’sfinal transformation into a good guy.
PS: Yeah, isn’t the hair GREAT!!!:devil::devil::devil:
Fabio,
Yeah they showed it once. But the pulled out the old Spirit Bomb and destroyed kid buu.
…BUT then a few years later at a world martial arts tourney to make a long story short Buu returns ass a reincarnated version of his formerself btu this one has no idea of who he used to be. Goku flys off with him on his back to train him to be a fighter and a “good guy”
