Is Yohan Blake still U-20?

He’s still 19. 19 and 203 days iirc from an article I read recently.

The best part of the footage is the head on shot which focuses on Bolt’s legs. The hip height is aboslutely ridiculous. Furthermore when the foot is in full support the knee of swing leg (knee) appears to be significantly in front of the knee of the support leg.

Crazy!

This has to be the best race footage I’ve seen broadcast on TV, the angles were great and the back view was unusual and interesting. They don’t normally have a side view but having seen that for Powell’s 9.72 I don’t know why.

Despite appearances, the conditions had to be good based on the other performances but Bolt’s start was far below what he has shown before so I have to believe that the WR is toast once he has it together and the conditions are at least equal. On his good day, he’d start from the front right off the bat.

Bolt is just warming up.

Looked to me like Thompson jumped the gun. Anyone have reaction times from this race? Couldn’t find them on IAAF website.

Absolutely brilliant! This has to be among Top 5 ever!

Has Bolt slightly moved in set position? Do not have my glasses on  but it seems that he did. Therefore maybe slightly slower start.

Sim was dissapointing after last weekend… maybe he’s still feeling it?

I didn’t see it and I watched the vid several times.

He is clearly moving first, though not by much. It could just be a better reaction time than the others. Lane 9 is very close behind him, and everyone else is noticeably slower.

To see it, you will probably need to save them, and play through them in Windows Picture Viewer or something so that the pictures don’t move as you change them.

I do think Thompson moved first but I didn’t think it was a false start.
