Best tasting protein

My friends use the go recovery drink and say it works well. MJ, should I get chocolate or vanilla? I hate strawberries.

N4D, are you talking about Classic Grow! MRP, Low-Carb Grow! MRP or the Grow! protein bars?

My friend took vanilla GROW by biotest… He came in and returned it. Said it was nasty. He eats the bars however. Says they are good. But obviously taste is a personally thing. But when a majority thinks someting is good i am more likley to use it.

i use biotest low carb grow, havent tried the classic, but i perfer to get as many of my carbs (with the exception of post workout) from natural sources, so given the choice between 25gms of carbs from maltodextrin and 25 carbs from fruit and veggies, ill always take the later.

with that said, there are times when i will go through a box or 2 of labrada MRPs in a row, normally im traveling or just need a change in the program.

What do you think of the Grow formula taste wise NFD?

I’m Changing my Protein Powder and I came across this Comparison of Proteins while trying to evaluate the best Protein to buy.
I think I’m going to go with the Musashi - 92% Protein Blend … thoughts?

I have been reviewing my nutrition (again) trying to put together the ideal requirements for my Pre and Post Training Carb and Protein Drinks.
(During I just opt for Water or a VERY mild Glucose soln.)

The ideal Pre Training and Post Training Recovery drink ingredients and ratios:

Pre Training
1 Hour Pre-Trg.
Protein: 10gms Whey
Carbs: 20gms Glucose/Maltodextrin

Post Training
Immediately Post Training

Ratio of 1:4, C:P

60 gms Carbs
8 gms of Protein

Carbs:
30gms of Carbs from Glucose
30gms of Carbs from Maltodextrin

Protein:
8 gms of Whey Protein

20gms Whey Protein

i love the taste of grow, and currently i am mixing 1 scoop of proscore natural and 1 scoop of choc grow and 2 tbsp of udos oil as my twice a day protein shake.

No23, I know much of this has been discussed on the other thread, but whey protein of only 10g (although maybe sufficient) is best consumed nearer to training so that when the aas enter the blood, training has commenced and the beneficial effects of increased circulation will enhance uptake into the muscle which in turn will enhance protein synthesis post exercise (10g whey can be digested and absorbed well in advance of 1h). If taken 1h before the aas may be utilised elsewhere before they get the chance of being taken up as effectively. The carbs can be taken with the whey but not vital for this amount of aas to be taken up by muscle during training.

As far as taste, I have used both chocolate and vanilla and they are both good. next time i will get strawberry and report back.
