The German study group will have the splits soon according to PJ. Bolt was out front right away just like in Beijing so we can expect crazy times all through. Will be interested to see how the race breaks down cause if the track really is softer then I’d expect the more of the improvement in the top speed section although some over the first 30.
God help to 200m! If he isn’t completely wiped and the weather cooperates, he’ll be way under 19 IMO. The old models would indicate 19.08 to 18.68 from his 100m time but I’d go with the faster number in his case.

He knows Gay is going to hunt him down and leave everything he has on the track in the 200m. I reckon even being tired from the 100m Bolt will run under 19 sec. He is pumped so much to do that, I can not see him slowing down now.
I guess that’s what he usually does, but why is that? Is it because he just has terrible speed endurance? In the SPP download CF said that a 6.55 in indoor 60m was like a 10.05 or something in 100, so he should definitely be able to go 9.9 or under right?
The more heavily muscled you are, the more your splits will favor initial acceleration BUT never forget where he just ran that 10.00 and how many sub tens were far behind him in this pressure-cooker meet.
