Wow I remember in the late 90’s early 2000s you could not get into a final unless you ran 43-44 sec… The times have shifted since pettegrew, young and Johnson are gone…

There have only ever been three world champs where a sub 45 was needed to make it to the final: 1997, 2007 and 2009.
