I didn’t mean to come across as hating anyone. I probably learnt more about what it takes to be a coach from attending his clinic. As far as spelling wrong is concerned I think I have done it once or twice before,.

RB34 brought up the name with a note, 2: Clap start (Different from Coon).

When I saw the clap drill mentioned I automatically assumed it was the same as I used to use as a coach. Starting in the half pushup position (elbows bent with upper arm parrallel to the ground), feet same distance apart as they would be on the blocks, you can start with knees bent. On go the athlete claps before running. No I never got if from anyone it was simply something we come up with to break up the boredom of doing the same things over and over, others drills included the Spastic Mongoose and indian war dances. It was all about fun back then.
