2011 Pre Classic - Jeter 10.70- Mullings 9.80-Oliver 12.94

Benyon 2000 surface. It’s a tunable, compliant surface, which they also have at Auburn, Clemson, a few other places with fast times (Alabama? not sure about that one). It’s a polycarbonate surface, and the Eugene surface has large particles on top, which seems to produce some very fast sprint times (remember Tyson at the 2008 OT). The timing may or may not be suspect as Usain Bolt claimed recently, but it IS a lightning fast surface.

BTW, nobody commented on Jet’s 10.70–tied for #7 all-time. When she ran 10.64, she started with 10.92 or 10.96 at Mt. Sac (near 100 degrees F that afternoon). Now with 10.7 already, the seemingly untouchable 10.49 might be open for challenge at Deagu.
