how much does yoga really improve ones speed?
It doesn’t. Perhaps if there were flexibility issues, then yoga could help indirectly, but I’m not sure why you would think it could help directly…

Well, it could probably help in recovery too. Unfortuneately the yoga and you thread is gone. Does anybody know what videos were recommended in there?
well the reason i ask is because i have heard from athletes and some coaches that i should start doing yoga because it helps with becoming faster, i have tryied it and to me it doesnt seem like something that would help, and im just wondering if it is something to stick with
Ivan Pedroso uses some Yoga exersises as a part of his warm-up. I don’t know the part of Yoga in his life though.
It can enhance concentration, master your body and breath (important for start technique), so we can say it can have a positive influence in speed.
I know of some Aussie Rules teams including it in fitness programs for individuals to develop flexibility and promote relaxation and hence speed up recovery.
