John:
get a job
seriously, John I thought this might catch your attention. Isn’t the former NZ head coach still the personal coach to Sean Wroe, the 400 winner?
I recall some time back there was some discussion about whether that coach was much chop. I had heard he’s strongly no-nonsense but that will always generate controversy. But it’s not a popularity contest and if he’s working with Wroe, then the points are on the scoreboard here (yes, I know, it’s “only” the student games but for Wroe it’s a huge step forward, to win in a tournament situation in a pretty foreign environment like Thailand.

Don’t know whether he still is but certainly a good run by Wroe. Been following these games quite closely as a couple of locals from here are competing.

Coaching ability aside, that particular coach is a real sh*t of a man!
Harsh. Your justification for making that call? Hmm, maybe we should just stick to results and take people as we find them. You’ve obviously had personal contact, so from your point of view that’s your call, but probably Wroe would disagree?

This is the second time they’ve run! The first time around the timing system messed up and Williamson appeared to false start but wasn’t pulled back…
First time around the results were:
1 GBR - WILLIAMSON Simeon 0.099 10.28
2 CHN - ZHANG Peimeng 13/03/1987 0.174 10.33
3 CAN - WRIGHT Neville 21/12/1980 0.157 10.34
4 UKR - GLUSHCHENKO Dmytro 0.215 10.39
5 EGY - SEOWD Amr 10/06/1986 0.174 10.40
6 AUS - MILLER Adam 22/06/1984 0.143 10.44
7 POR - ABRANTES Arnaldo 0.168 10.50
8 CHN - YIN Hualong 22/08/1987 0.158 10.53
So no change in the order of the medalists after all!
KK
what link are you using for the results?
I go to iaaf news, pull up the student games’ report and, at the bottom of each report is a link to the LOC results. Then it’s just a matter of finding the event. The Thai results data is comprehensive but a little cluttered in it’s display.
Respect to Simeon! Hopefully that will earn him a place in the GB relay squad:
