Which Multi?

What is a solid multi? Preferably one that will not drain my wallet too much

www.highperformancefitness.com

we get a multivitamin from costco (kirkland brand i think) that’s got basically everything every other multivitamin has. about 300 pc for $10.

Note I mean solid as in nutritionally sound (dosage wise and absorption wise)… not the state of matter that it is in.

I’ve heard very good things also about the LEF brand though I must admit I’ve not tried it yet.

NSI and LEF have products that are free of prohormones (vitamin and minerals). I find the Antioxidant blend (15 usd per month) is great.

There is something I’ve always been wondering about. When I train very hard and get loaded so much with my session, I start feeling that even if I took a very poorly absorbed multi-vitamin it’ll get totally absorbed cause my body just needs anything. While on the other side when I’m slack with my training and take somevery good nutritional supplements whatever they are I just make minimum use of them.

So could we say train hard and just take anysort of multi vitamin or would that be nonsense. Its just a feeling I always get that doing this would be the right thing. Any comments?

I just dropped 80 bucks for a 3 months supply of HPF. We’ll see what happens.

Wellmans day ones

I rotate between Thorne and PureCaps, like them both.

I’ve used about all of them and USANA is the only one I ever noticed a difference when taking. I’m not a distributor either. There was a study done that looked at absorption and effectiveness of hundreds of different vitamins. Usana came out ahead. I believe most multis went right on through the body without doing a thing.

kellyb,

you make my job easy! i’ve tried a bunch of them and i’ve had the best results from the USANA. so much so i became distributor!

if anyone is considering going with USANA get in contact with me.

Another is SuperNutrition Opti Pak. Excellent overall which includes high amount of Vit E and C unlike those cheap multi. Also it has plently of Magnesium and calcium which you don’t see much in others as well. I get it at www.netrition.com. It’s 30 somthing for 90 packets (one month supply if you follow the its direction). Since I eat relatively well, I just take one packet a day preferably with P+F meal to maximize the absorbance of vit and min. If you take it with high starchy meal like oatmeal, it’ll prevent some absorbance so don’t do it. So im really paying 10 bucks a month for excellent stuff. I think its one of the best overall value for the amount of stuff they have in opti pak! If you look closer to what they have, you’ll agree with me.

Vitamin D is considered prohormone if you think about it!

nobody has tested positive for vitamin D!

LOL. It was a joke. It is really steroid hormone precursor, not a true vitamin. It’s not found naturally in food supply. In fact, it’s the only thing that’s missing from mother milk and the only way we’d get enough is from the sun (tons of Vit Din short amount of time at the right time of the day and the time of the year and place). That would explain why people from thousands of years ago from north are fair skinned and people closer to the equator are dark skinned. It is a problem now.

I know…bad joke on my part…just getting funny.

I like tan women…some are looking like aligator skin in their thirties though…keep hydrated and take your vitamins!
