Transforming leg strength and power

Guys,
ive decided to make my leg strength and power my major priority during the off-season.
I have about 4 months before my next competition. From my understanding of this site, i am concentrating on 2 sessions per week which include heavy weights (5 reps per set) and followed by jump squats and bounding?

What programmes have you guys followed that have resulted in significant improvements over the off-season???
