Good run by Pickering against the big boys

finally coming together for Olu

Charlie what is a 6.49 sec 60m worth over 100m?

The women’s 60m winner was as impressive. 7.16 in the short dash and then 51.60 in the 400m. She also has the top indoor time in the 200m on an oversize track.

It’s worth anywhere from 9.95 to 9.90.

Congratulations!

and now the idiots in the French press and “establishment” will drum up some bullshit propogranda against coach PJV, saying his training works for Fasuba but not their home-grown French true bleu, Pognon.

Whereas Pognon had complained of knee tendinitis pain in Stuttgart and may have been protecting himself while fulfilling the contractual obligation to appear at the meet? Just my speculation, but PJ PM’d to advise that Ronald had been consistently a few miliseconds faster than Olu during training in recent weeks.

Well done to the athletes, very well done to the coach.

TWO WORLD LEADING runs at the same meet. Not a bad day’s work

great improvement 4 fasuba from his race in moscow where he ran 6.63. maybe morne nagel was right when he said the russian cold affected the times.

if fasuba improved .14s what can we expect from nagel who was only 4/10 off fasuba’s moscow time. 6.53? nagel may have found his 2002 lost form.

Russian Athletics Federation officials have successfully concluded a Search and Rescue Mission to locate the missing sprinter Morne Nagel, seen here emerging nekkid & somewhat the worse for wear from his terrifying experience when he flew out the backdoor of the Moscow Indoor athletics arena and disappeared after plunging into the Moscow river.

After warming up in the newest model Soviet team tracksuit (see picture, above) Morne got to work on his A-skips and B-skips (as seen, above)

Re Pognon. Confidence is perhaps the most important factor for a short sprinter (see Cuban Hurdler Robels for an example!). It is hard to be confident coming back from injury even for the euro record holder.

i get cold just looking at the picture.

Charlie, how would you progress a 6.55secs man post indoor? In your experience, what are the issues that would need to be addressed to ensure a continuation of progress to a sub 10 secs clocking? How much improvement and what would be the timescale?

it’s a pitty he could’nt keep them tracksuits on in the race, thats probably y he could’nt “lift his knees” properly.

pickering was psyced out, his final was slower than his semi-final.

if u wanna run with the big dogs don’t bark like a puppy.

i think he’ll catch on fairly quickly, he’ll have 2 if he wants 2 make it in the dust eating world of the super sprinter.

cut craig some slack, he was only 0.02 off his pb in the final and he beat jason and pognon. i heard he was coming back at them also, dunno how true that is, haven’t seen it yet. i don’t think he was really talking himself up if that’s what you mean by don’t bark like a puppy. you must agree it’s a solid performane??
