Shirvo Back On Track?

Maybe beaten before the start cos he knows he cannot finish his 100m races. I saw a still frame snap of the 2006 Aussie 100m final with about 20m to go and Shirvo is still gunning it as if it was the first 20m.
In fact he’s applying such internal pressure that the grimace on his face makes it look like he could shatter teeth. Plus his shoulders are twisted and so are his thighs, splayed outwards - still after 80m.
It’s such a physical run. It appears there is no relaxation, no consideration of form, certainly no efficiency of mechanics. After all these years it still looks like he’s trying to acclerate for the entire 100m. It’s a shame for him.

well he certainly didn’t listen to tom tellez if hes still running as tense as that.he spent a few weeks maybe 3years ago in houston training with TT

Yep, and time with Dan Pfaff and time with Linford Christie, and time with Tony Lester and time with, and time with . . . it must be terribly disappointing for him because by now he Must know what to do, but obviously not how to do.

It must be so frustrating for him because he seems to be a Really decent guy with a lot of talent. Maybe he should join Morne Nagle and just do the indoor 60 circuit. He’s been fourth a couple of time at WIC so it’s not such a ridiculous idea.

exactly…morne nagle is running really well and somewhat in the background but this guy is really gonna do well if he stays healthy.on the other hand MS must learn or move on.personally i think the offer of 1M$ to break 10 is putting him under severe pressure.

Does anyone think there is a co-incidence that he ran his fastest 200m (20.45) when he ran his fastest 100m (10.03s)?
Now he is only putting down 21.x, with this, his 100m are around the 10.3 mark, and have been for a while…
