shaking glutes, whats happening here?

glutes seem to shake and tremble a bit when slowly contracting or in slow movement, e.g. squats.

have not done any hard training, any idea whats happening here?

Probably a muscle spasm. The body does this when there is too much to repair in one certain section - in essence it is overloaded.

It’s a warning to stop!!! or reduce the load!!! if you are unable to stabilize the load take caution.

Sorry I might have misunderstood the question.

thx for replies, but what i mean is, say for example I am sitting down in a chair and I contract my glutes my whole leg shakes uncontrollably.

do you shake like that when you do sit ups slowly?

And how violent is the shaking? If you contract any muscle group really hard then the area will shake very lightly…

Are you talking full blown “get out of the way I’m going to kick you”?

yea! now that you mention it…
