Robby Andrews, a senior at Manalapan (N.J.) High School, erased Alan Webb?s national indoor record in the 1,000 meters when he won the event in 2 minutes 22.28 seconds at the Collegiate Invitational at the New Balance Track and Field Center in Upper Manhattan. A blistering final 400 meters in 54.8 seconds eclipsed Webb?s scholastic record of 2:23.68 set in 2001.
