These damn flies don’t look too bad on video. Still tons of work to be done but def not bad for first fly session. I need to get another set of timing beams because timing these flies would be a game breaker!!!

Legs feel nice and loose with the new lifting program. This will probably be my last month of jumping hard before backing off and allowing the speed work to intensify. The goal is still 3.98 over 30m by Halloween and 6.98-7.05 indoors.

My damn big toe may be broken. I was stretching my rectus femoris this morning and somehow my damn foot flew off the chair and crashed into the cement floor. Tons of pain and black/blue on the side.

Like a season’s best for that distance. Personal best for 30 but yearly no comparing to 10 years ago, etc or even last year.

Overall, much better session than last Sunday but still slow - big toe was still sore and black/blue but I was able to get the work done. My avg time overall was 0.05 faster than last Sunday and my fastest time today was 0.04 faster than last Sunday. The jumps and weights felt 100x better today. I would expect another PR sometime over the next 3 Tuesday sessions - I’m bringing all the juice on all 3 Tuesday sessions. Based on how these Sunday sessions are going I will need to experiment a little more with my indoor comp setup and move my only speed session to Thursday.

I felt fast today but it didn’t show on the timer… Didn’t get much sleep last night and slightly stressed because my son is starting school tomorrow, and this is the first time he will be away from mom and dad… Never been to a babysitter or anyone else - going to miss the little guy.

Had some young bucks trying to size me up at the track. As I took off my shorts/shirt and started to spike up for warmup starts their eyes got big. Once I started my flying sprints their eyes got bigger. If they only knew stuff like that give me extra juice. My best flying and lifting session this block. I won’t be making many changes to my workouts from week to week. At this point I prefer to let the increase in sprint speed give me any variation I may need and want to give the organism time to stabilize week to week. Recovery session on Friday and get ready for the final loading week!!!
