Charlie, in your new book you say classical periodization isnt the best thing for a advance athlete, but throughout the book and on the forum it seems like you perfer a classical periodization weightlifting setup ( 8-10 reps > 3-6 etc)?
You have to consider the overall program first and the interaction of the individual componants second. The timing of the weights stresses must be arranged around the CNS demands of the Speed work while providing sufficient strength retention at the end of the phase when peaking must take place.
