i have sharp pain in ankle when i sprint or jump around explosively. It comes and goes in a day or the next until i jump at a certain angle the sharp pain shoots again, i dont know which ligament it is, im assuming im pinching some nerve in the medial park of the ankle, im guessing around medial talocalcaneol ligamant area. If i run with the pain it is mild it is however very painful when walking for about 20 seconds where the pain will suddenly magically disappear. Howver if i do high knees it will come back just as easy. When i do squats heavy or any weightlifting it is fine i feel nothing.
As for my knee this pain has always been around when i PBd in sprint or weights. It is annoying, it is underneath the patella pain if i push on it to feel where it is. It hurts when im coming down on the squat (eccentric). The pain is medial on the patella(more inwards) it is on my right leg which is the short leg. Im assuming when i squat the patella is slowly being pushed inwards putting pressure on the tendon, espcially the patella tendon ligament. I need to have an x-ray done or something to see what is up. Im thinking all this is happening cause i havent bought new shoes yet and the outer soles of my shoes are wearing out cause i supinate so much.
NOTE - i am in vacation and because of club problems i havent done any plyos/sprint/drills of any kind during the winter other then weights. I found a track where im at and experienced this pain after warming up and running 10m just for fun, i felt considerably more powerful then before but at the expense of my silly ankle. I am thinking my calves are now not as developed to conteract against my now stronger hips, should i do calf raises, or toe raises everyday in the house?
