With regards to the men’s 800: We will see what happens when there are NO pacemakers in the race in Beijing. My money still on Rudisha when the long striding Kaki is forced to run in a pack. Then again, if he’s as good as they say, hopefully Kaki will just do a Bayi and go to the front and try to run everyone off their feet - and maybe set a world record at a championship. Love to see that.
the 800 world and olympic records were set with a 400m pacer coming through in 49.high for the world record and johnny grey took the olympic 800 out really fast.
