Lol. So what do u tink of my new running vids Thor?
Let’s just say that I’m not the right person to comment on the finer nuances of sprinting. I will say this though, that you look like a sprinter running and not, say, a soccer player, which must be a good thing. By the way, both links lead to the same video.
Ok ill correct that mistake.
Mistake corrected, check out the second video now, better angle. And remeber that i actually stop accelarating and start braking when i pulled up my head due to the wall, but i picked up to much momentum so i cudna stop so easily, i badly wanna post a full 60/100m race. Ill try to get a chance. Anyway tell me what u tink bout dah second vid.
Oh well so much for gettin some technical response
Well there isn’t a whole lot of point on commenting on a run that you were doing at 65 or 75%. If your not going at 100% or close to it, the mechanics of running or changed completely. ie. Where your foot hits in relationship to your center of mass. That’s probably why people are hesitating to comment. Once you post a video of your running at 100% you’ll probably get some suggestions.
Ok aite then. I start back training on Monday, so ill carry along my camera and try to get a 90% run (cant go 100% yet cuz i might get injured since i havent trained in a good while). Either that or Ill wait till the end of the week when ive trained a good bit then run at 100% and tape it.
I would record it when it’s time for you and you feel ready to go at 95-100%. As time goes by with your training, it might make a difference of what you can do now and what later on…
Alright I get ya. Hope my lack of training wont affect the progress I made last season. Betta get back to it. Dont wanna end up not even being able to dip below 11.
The video will be delayed cuz i jus got a foot injury which seems to threathen my pre-season training.
I was just going over all the videos of myself, self-evaluating and I just realised something. Ive bin doing it wrong all this time!! I have been just bounding from one foot to another all this time instead of “pawing back” or scraping the ground. Thats why I never really get my knees up properly, and also my arms always feel like their not doing any work. Its also why I get burned out so quickly coming unto the last segments of a race because by then my feet dont have enuff energy to keep on bounding and my stride length and frequency both decrease. Now I start making full use of the pawback technique and the dorsiflexion and am feeling much faster. But my ankle is still paining me so ill have to really call it quits to serious training sessions, until it is fully rehabilitated.
