Anyone else suffered from jumper’s knee (Patellar tendinitis)? I’ve been struggling with it since last January and nothing seems to help. I’ve put ice on it, tried ultra sound, anti-inflammatory drugs and stuff…
My doctor said that surgery is an option but it’s not certain it’ll be any help because MRI showed there’s nothing actually broken in my knee.
So I was wondering if anyone knows anything that might help.
Poor landing technique. Hips out. Absorb your BW with your glutes. Make sure your glutes are firing when you land. Never land stiff-legged no matter how small the jump is.
I’ve had fairly good luck with the Cho Pat knee straps on my athletes with jumper’s knee.
Also- posterior chain work in the weight room, maybe you’re overworking the quad due to ham/glute weakness.
