Results from Gotzis multi-events meeting

GOTZIS, Austria, June 1 (AFP) - Czech decathlete RomanSebrle was just 219 points short of his two-year-oldworld record of 9,026 points in winning at the renownedmulti-events meeting here on Sunday.
Sebrle’s total of 8,807 points, including a superblong jump of 7.86 metres, was the leading performance inthe world this year.
American Tom Pappas, who led after five events, wassecond with a new personal best of 8,585 points whileJon Arnar Magnusson of Iceland finished third, scoring8,222.
