René Herms is expected to perform well in the
men’s 800m in Glasgow next weekend.
The German Athletics Federation has named it’s team for the Glasgow International Indoor meeting next weekend.
2004 European Cup bronze medallist Ronny Ostwald will be challenging title defender Craig Pickering (GBR) in the 60m sprint, while 2006 European Indoor cup 800m bronze medallist René Herms could be considered one of the race favourites for the 800m.
In the men’s Long Jump there could be an exciting show down between last year’s European Cup bronze medallist in the Long Jump, Nils Winter (GER), and British indoor and outdoor record holder, Chris Tomlinson.
Despite her young age, 22-year-old Verena Sailer, has a great deal of championship experience. The reigning European U23 100m Champion, will certainly be one to watch in the women’s 60m.
A strong performance is also expected in the women’s 400m, from 2006 European Cup bronze medallist, Claudia Hoffmann.
