Anyone have experience with either a bad pulled calf muscle or torn calf. I was doing hill sprints today and felt a pop and I can barely walk on it. It has started to swell pretty good. I have taken alleve and iced it thus far. Any advice on time frames for this type of injury?
i think the most important is to use R.I.C.E for the first 48 hours, Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation.
then start on getting some therapy on it. sounds pretty bad the way you described it, i would say 4-6+weeks before you are back to full training. get some BCAA’s into you aswell.
