Most quicker definately stronger, everyone who tried can bench over their own bodyweight.

One of the boys got under 11s, guess the school coach will have a couple of weeks to slow him down, hopefully he won’t strain anything.

Kid also ran his first 400, came 2nd and pulled up ok, doesnt like the burn much.

Ran second 400 and won convincingly, after winning 100, 200, long jump and relay.

Competing again tomorrow, told him 1/4 teaspoon bi carb in water and drink after the 400.

Was disappointed he didnt run under 11 again. Told him to run to win and the rest will happen.

Now coaching for the American sprints coach Smith who told me that he was doing bear crawls when he played football. Warren Ryan never knew about the mongoose and Smith never play footy in A merica.

I am not a lover of the weight room, I come up with bodyweight exercises and the mongoose is one of them. Every athlete I have coached has been told they explain my exercises to no one.

My avator is a photo from my teens. We were showing friends around a potential campsite when the monster came from nowhere, my dog, a black dingo kept it away from the women, one of them was carrying a baby. The pig photo was taken and I was later given a photo. We ended up taking them to a safer site at the weir amongst other campers.

Apparently the internet has gone crazy with the bear crawl, would love to know when and why the exercise is performed.

The mongoose was first used by me in 1985, it was a means of getting around. I had a back operation and 25 acres. I started using it on teenagers a couple of years later. Two of the athletes were Katie Hall ang Jacquie Monroe, both won national titles.

The 9th March 2014 the mongoose was mentioned on this site, later that month I gave a couple of briefs on it. South Sydney won the grand final later that year and Greg Inglis demonstrated the goanna crawl after scoring a try. The word was a seceret chinese herbal medicine.

Paul Nancarrow brought Charlie here for coaching clinics around 2006 and he suggested most who attended were football coaches.

Yes, call it a goanna or bear crawl doesnt change anything.
It is an exercise that isolates the Psoas major, crunches etc do not strengthen the back, I can now get around like any other joe bloe and am not in a wheel chair as suggested by professor Gabriel. After 9 months of physio 3 days a week with no benefit he suggested reading material and I did the rest. I did not go to uni (I couldnt walk), if I had I would possibly had a phd(a bit of paper to hang on a wall).

I believe a lot of ppl pass Charlies work off as their own.
