lately my stride just isn’t it used to be after coming back from injuries, it just feels open and sluggish and i feel i’m not able to switch into higher gears like i used to. any cues or hints would be helpful.
give it time… how long were you out for?
about 3-4 weeks off, some light running in between
be pacient… its not uncommon for a sprinter to feel heavy and slugish after a layoff(im speaking from experience)…your body needs to get used to the motor patterns of sprinting… keep doing your drills… it;ll all come together soon enough… dont rush it be pacient… keep us informed week to week how its going…
this week my leg is feeling a lot better, da frequency is finnally back in my stride, now it’s just a matter of rebuilding my mechanics. lately i just ran a 6.65 in da 60y dash wish is pretty horrible considering i ran 6.4s-6.5s last year. When run i concentrate on using my quads to put force on the ground, i dont know if this is efficient but it kinda appears to be workin for me lately.
If you are feeling it in your quads, your hips may be low, or you may be pushing out the back.
should i just cycle my legs as fast as possible
