EAST GERMAN T&F TEXTBOOK.

i read speedtrap and CFTS.
im ready for a new one…
i read the thread on top 5 books but what does everyone suggest…
i am leaning towards buying The East German track textbook… what exactly is in this book?

I have this book. It is quite good. It covers all of the events…sprints, distance, jumps, throws and multi-events. It has some great information, but since the scope is so big, the amount of info about any one event is necessarily limited.

I concur with xlr8. I haven’t read it extensively but ‘sifted’ through it. Heavy Reading. It offers a theoretical background to various training components.

I’d try and get your hands on Gerard Mach’s manual. It is concise but deceptivley informative and is a lovely reference to have in your personal library.
