Has any one tried it or have had results with it?

It’s one way to feel the position you want to be in. Other than that, I would only be interested in running the stairs.

As a means of hill running, or other means?

I have never liked stairs because I felt it was hard to get full extension due to stair height. Thoughts?

well running stairs is almost identical to the “ideal” running postion. As far as high hips getting your feet directly under one’s self and getting full exstention from the leg. And its not as stressfull on the knee joints as flat surface running is.

Running the desired incline hill is almost identical to the ideal.

Plantar Flexion at ground contacts with stairs but not so with hills
More forgiving surface if turf / dirt hill
Tendon advantages of softer than concrete surface (as discussed in another thread)
Incline of stairs is a fixed consideration, whereas individual hills provide variability for different training targets.
