Biomechanics of baseball pitching

I am not a baseball player nor do i have a back ground in the sport however i can apply physics laws to pitching.

The biomechanics of pitching is rather complicated so I’ll start off with c o c king the arm.

During arm c o c king greater shoulder external rotation increases ball velocity on release by increases elastic energy stores.

During the wind up flex the knee to lower the COM & extend/abduct the shoulder. The stride leg should pivots across the body whilst the pivot leg hip, knee , ankle is extended this allows for maximum rotation of the trunk and hips.

If your familiar with other phases your input would be great.

Anyone got any other observations here?
