B12 effectiveness?

I just tried some Sublingual B12 from GNC. Very inexpensive. I felt something before my workouts, I would describe it as CNS efficiency. If the injections are even slightly more effective, than b12 should be a mainstay in all serious athletes program. I took 3 tabs before workout and 3 right after. What have others experienced with sublingual and injectable versions? Charlie, I am particularly interested in your opinion.

How bout taking b12 inj. 1000mg every other day…Any thoughts? Is this what ben did.

I replied and it got nuked…I’ll try again…I have had great success with 6- 5000mcg of tablets of b-12. I had about 9 or 10 weeks with it and “felt something.” Then I had about 4 weeks without…I felt like I’ve been dragging a dead rhino around. Re-started b-12 and b-complex…looking forward to feeling good again.

Is that co-enzyme B12?

Try to dissolve the tabs under the tongue. More effective that way.

How often did your sprinters receive b-12 injections? Once a week?

Never mind, Charlie, I looked it up in the archive. For those who are wondering, Charlie previously recommended 1000 micrograms at least once per month during the prep period, and once per week during competition.

Cyanocobalamin works fantastic.

How do you know if it is coenzyme b-12? does it say it? and how many micograms daily or weekly would be sufficent? I cant seem to get a straight answer on this.

I just picked up “Advanced B-12 Complex” by (source naturals)

ingredients:
folate (as folic acid) 400 mcg.

Vitamin b-12 (as methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin) 5 mg.

What does everyone think about this form? Any good? Also how much should i take. It says 1 tablet daily but looking at what everyone else has taken this seems a bit much. Can someone give me some protcolls ot use this? It only contains 30 tablets.:help:

so you think the best thing to do would to break each tablet in half (still 2.5 mgs) and take it after my speed workouts (2-3 times per week)?

what happens if you have an excess of b-12 anyway?

Injections are much more effective. oral does not absorb into the body well. it depends on your weight for the injections as well.
