2015 world champs 100m quarters…gay, powell, vicaut all ran around 9.98-9.97…vicaut had slightly bigger quads than powell and gay, but smaller biceps from that close up front shot…also from that front view footage he appears to strike pidgeon toe style compared to powell and gay splay foot side to side somewhat initial accel…one thing it is certain, 2015 vicaut never had bigger quads than 9.91 2004powell in London grandprix(when he beat mo Greene)…that was some sick different footage they had from the ‘BBC motion gallery’ site
Kim Collins injury is just a cramp. It is not the hamstring that it looks like in the video.
Collins seems to be getting these massive cramps that look like serious injuries but turn out to be harmless. He pulled up with what looked like a severe calve strain in a 60m race last year. When I saw him limping off the track, unable to put any weight on one foot, I thought his indoor season was over and his outdoor season in jeopardy. A week later he was racing again.
I had a serious groin strain (two adductor tendons almost severed) three years ago, but was a lot more mobile afterwards than what he looked after this cramp. One year ago I got a grade one adductor tear while sprinting and no one watching would have been able to tell there was an injury.
That’s definitely good news. I was wondering if it had something to do with racing twice in 11 days after setting a personal best. I would have thought he’d have shut it down for 10 days, but then again, I’m sure there is a business aspect to continuing to enter meets.
BTW: Does anyone have any info on Kim Collin’s training? The only thing I have seen is this http://spikes.iaaf.org/post/kim-collins-spikes-exclusive plus a comment somehwere that he feels fitness is very important and if that’s in place speed comes easily. Does anyone have anything more?
I haven’t seen much either, did read somewhere that he only does 3 x 100m for speed end with full recovery.

Nice find. Thanks
What a top field of Jamaican sprinters. there nationals are going to be something. Bolt looks a solid bet at this stage for Rio gold IMHO.
in HD with replays of the race. Man that was a nasty come back and then turn it off at the line
This is good news for DeGrasse.
Wayne Van Niekerk 300m stride count: almost 123steps but just call it 124 for high intensity over distance purposes. He’s only 0.15 seconds off Johnson’s time 30.87secs. I think with his long stride and his recent 100m sub 10, he should erase Johnson’s 300m time before, shaving off his 400m on to 43.00secs flat or slightly sub 43. Someone must have a video of usain bolts 300m from 2010 to compare strides, if I remember correctly the Eurosport camera wasn’t on bolt for the whole race for some reason.
Usain bolt 300m (30.97secs) stride count: almost got it in 120steps but 121 steps basically, for general speaking terms
