10m off blocks

Maybe your 6.35 or any post 2000 track acheivement can be next

Once a week I’ll select something. I’m leaning towards this crazy VCU workout I have or my golf trophy next. Don’t worry Im saving the best for last.

Whats your name by the way? And your times?

I’m Utt Futbol.

you’ve made nearly twice as many posts as anyone else in this thread, and most of them are about yourself or rubbishing the efforts of others. it’s a shame, because this was a pretty interesting thread before it got derailed.

if anyone has demolished this thread it’s you and your childish attitude. grow up…

Agreed. I was following this thread as I thought there was something I could learn from it, given that I’m having some glute activation problems myself!

Stop attacking people under annoymous internet names and lets talk like real men, instead of posting lion king videos then.

Read the whole thread. They attacked me first. I did most of the talking about 10m/starts. Davan talking about I want to improve 4 tenths of a second to a 6.80. That means he’s a 7.2 sprinter.

By the way nice to meet you umm…Utt futbol.

Could you post a link with a time?

B’s.

7.2 sprinter? I opened with 6.97 this year. I haven’t had any meets since because of few indoor meets available in my area, but I am definitely faster than 7.2.

Whats your name?

I’ve posted my name, the college I go to, the high school I went to, home town, everything. Do some leg work. I’ve also posted where my PRs took place and I believe even video of what is available.

Do your searching all you want–I ran the time at a major meet. This isn’t some bullshit random meet w/ suspicious timing or non-existent results.

Just post the link…Thanks.

sup all ? a little update, the training so going well… I’ve been hammering my glutes with tons of activation and mobility and really think about squeezing them all day, it helped alot for my start … so much that its no longer my problem… i run 3.6 30m HT so thats enough for 11.00 fat or something…
What I also noticed is that my glutes are getting sore after a hard high shock workout, i guess thats a good sign that they are helping the movement more ?

no more 7 sets of starts before each workout, ill cut the volume on these and focus on running upright with top speed runs and tempo.

If anyone has any suggestion on what to do other than just stretch around and run 60’s and 150’s let me know, because thats exactly what im gonna do.

thanks !

6.97 is roughly 10.87. You couldn’t possible do that from 23s 200m.

No shit… did you see my post? 35 degrees F (1.6 C) and raining at the meet… Not to mention other factors. You can see video of my 22.1 if you wish–it is right there with the 6.97 video. I don’t make-up times.

lol I am never going to hear the end of it about that meet… I wish people here could have run it to get an idea.

Settle down tiger. Even in the wet & cold 23.6 is a long way from 22.1. Not to say you can’t run 22.1.

What are your average 100/200 times?

I could tell you what my average 100 and 200 times were if I had run any 100s this year. I have run one 60m race (6.97), one 200m time trial (video timed–22.1), and one 200m race (in crap conditions–the 23.shit).

You are telling me things I know already–I know they are far off. Only one person broke 23 in the entire meet, but there were multiple 21 second runners there. In the 100m, 10.8 and 11.4 are far away, but a guy at the same meet ran 11.4 w/ a tailwind when he has run multiple 10.8s (legal). I mean shit happens–look at the Aussie national meet where everyone was running 11s or JW who opened with a crap 21something in good conditions.

When I run a couple meets, I’ll give you the averages and you can plug em into a calculator or whatever you wish to do.

JW opened up in 20.8 -20.9, and Aussie nationals were won in 10.6 because half the field missed the start. Or they didn’t react because they thought a re-start would happen.

If you opened up in 6.97 than you should be running 10.8 & 10.7s this year. Keep us up to date on your progress.

There’s no need to be defensive I am not having a go at you.

Quik who is a member on this forum training mate ran 7.10 indoors and he open up with 10.91 but he also had nice weather.
